Presidential Politics:
President Bush has successfully revived the economy and struck a mighty blow in the War on Terror with a major victories in Iraq and Afghanistan. The war was just and valid for three reasons:
1. The former regimes in Iraq and Afghanistan both had terrorist ties and some level of state sponsorship of terrorism against America and it's interests abroad. State sponsorship includes any of the following: training, weapons, refuge, intelligence or logistical support.
2. Evidence of Weapons of Mass Destruction programs within Iraq have been confirmed since the coalition forces have occupied the country.
3. Human right atrocities: To those who lament the violence and bloodshed of war, you must realize that this war was a welcome respite for the people of Iraq. Hussein's regime used kidnapping, beatings, torture, rape and murder. If you oppose the war you support Saddam. There is no two ways about it.
It is a left wing fantasy that there is any moral equivalence between Saddam's regime and the Bush administration. Terrorism has a definition. It is the specific targeting of civilians with acts of violence to create fear among a populace. America tries to avoid any civilian casualties. America abides by the U.N. and the Geneva convention.
President Bush has cut taxes and brought tax relief to millions of working Americans. He is an incumbent with one of the most respected cabinets in history with the likes of Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld and Condoleeza Rice. These people are capable and experienced.
On the other hand we have Howard Dean, a left-wing radical with little or no foreign policy experience. Dean has nothing but criticism to offer. He has no positive solutions and no proven leadership ability.
