LIBERAL ALERT----LIBERAL ALERT-----LIBERAL ALERT-------LIBERAL ALERT__LIBERAL ALERT

Newsflash:

The Operation Iraqi Freedom was not just about WMD.

What was Operation Iraqi Freedom really about? Several things actually:

1. WMD programs
2. Terrorist Ties
3. Human rights atrocities
4. reconstruction of the Middle-East
5. Global strategy

Liberals and the media focused only on WMD because WMD are sensational. Movies are made about WMD. It's frightening stuff. Liberals operate on fear. It's their bread and butter.

It was Iraq's WMD programs, the existence of which was confirmed by David Kay's interim report, combined with terrorist ties that forced the Bush administration to do the right thing.

Seems simple huh? Now try explaining this to a liberal without getting shouted down...

There is no question in any circle that Saddam and his regime committed atrocities on a daily basis. Beatings, kidnapping, torture, rape and murder were part of the normal Iraqi way under Hussein.

We know he had terrorist ties because we have lots of solid intelligence that confirms it, not to mention Salman Pak terrorist training camp. This place, just south of Baghdad, houses a Boeing fuselage and special quarters designed to house strict Muslims (like the blokes from Al-Queda) We also have seen how his regime supported the families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

I define state sponsorship of terrorism as any refuge, weapons, training, intelligence, logistical or financial support given to terrorists. Without a doubt Saddam's Baathist regime provided some or all of these things to terrorists.

President Bush was completely justfied to determine that Saddam Hussein posed a clear and present danger to the U.S. A regime like Saddam's cannot be left to develop and continue WMD programs no matter HOW rudimentary they may seem particularly when they the ability and willingness to supply terrorists with various levels of state sponsorship.

President Bush made the right choice even though it would have been politically expedient to compromise with the left.

Our former president, on the other hand, chose NOT to be cautious or conservative in his defense of the nation and let Osama Bin Laden slip through his fingers on more than one occasion. He also crippled the intelligence community in the name of social experimentation and weakened our military. With demoralizing cuts and policy changes.
