Watching these nitwits on ESPN and the other sports networks discuss Steroids in professional baseball is amusing. They try to explain away the fact that Barry Bonds will not be at the congressional hearing on the subject because "it shouldn't be about one man."

Imagine hearings on organized crime that neglected to invite Al Capone because they "shouldn't be about one man".

They say the hearings shouldn't be a "witchhunt". Is that an excuse for inaction? Is that a rationalization for doing nothing? If no results are expected going into the process why proceed with hearings at all? Otherwise, the hearings are simply a waste of taxpayer dolars so some senator can get some TV time shooting his mouth off.
