May the Lord comfort him and ease his pain. Pope John Paul II has been a stalwart leader on issues like human rights and dignity for decades. His legacy is written in the hearts and minds of the billion Catholics around the world who look upon his great example as an inspiration to us all.

Jon Stewart is a disingenuous piss-ant.


Watching "The Daily Show" coverage of Terry Schiavo cruel, slow-motion execution truly makes me sick. Stewart actually has the gall to sit in judgment of the politicians who were fighting to keep Schiavo alive without actually addressing the issue of this woman's death. This scumbag sits there and acknowledges the situation as "tragic" (these are his words) and then proceeds to use his sarcasm and cynicism to turn the "tragic situation" into a punch-line.

It's one thing to argue on behalf of an innocent life or argue that a husband should have the right to dictate life or death to their brain-damaged spouse. These are legitimate issues.

It's entirely another to crack wise about a woman who is being starved to death.

Using this story to attack those who disagree with us is disingenuous and cowardly.

That pretty much describe Jon Stewart.
