The most repeated myth of the modern era is that "religion" has led to more wars and evil than anything else. This is an out-and-out LIE. It has been political absolutism of a decidedly secular nature that has slaughtered and enslaved more people than any other force in human history.

The 20th century saw a minimum of 170 million people (some estimates place the figure closer to 300 million) die at the hands of collectivist, fascist, and communist secular ideas. The anti-religious nature of all three of these collectivist political systems should be noted.
