Sanctimonious, self-righteous, and disingenuous


These adjectives refer to Jon Stewart of "The Daily Show". I was shocked and appalled watching Stewart try and blame a HURRICANE on the president of the United States. It truly borders on the absurd. Until you realize he isn't joking.

Take a mildly successful comedian who inherits a popular comedy talk show only to try and turn it into a pulpit from which he can spew his left wing idealogy and hate. The sad thing is far too many people of my generation get their news only from semi-farcical sources like "The Daily Show".

That is their goal. That is their plan. The left has no answer to Limbaugh. The left has no answer to O'Reilly or Hannity.

They can only hope to gain followers by entertaining you long enough for them to insert their political bias and hope you continue nodding and laughing.

$4.10 a gallon!?!?!


Not tomorrow, not next week. NOW! It's time for a realistic energy plan.

I want all of you to join me in demanding that 2-3 new oil refineries be built in the continental U.S. immediately.

I also want all of you to join me in demanding that ANWAR, the Gulf of Mexico and other offshore sites be tapped for their vast reserves of crude oil.

America needs to quit being REACTIVE and start being PROACTIVE in making this country:

1. Less dependent on foreign sources of oil

2. Less vulnerable to freak disasters

3. Dealing with the here and now in addition to looking into the future for alternative sources of energy.

Political correctness will doom us to be subject to the whims of foreign powers and mother nature. It's time to exert our positive influence with a plan!
